ThReAdTeDs® Follow-up thread bear pattern

After working through the ThReAdTeDs® Basic Patterns and the first Follow-up pattern Peaches, I have introduced the second continuing pattern, for Mint & Coco. My goal is to make each pattern in a way that it will teach you another new technique and/or knowledge. Collecting ThReadTeDs® patterns will result in a mini libary of thread bears.

This pattern teaches you how to complete a collectible mini thread bear; additionally this follow-up pattern includes information how to add extra details like raising the nap for a natural bear 'Look' and easy shading. ThReAdTeDs® follow-up patterns come with an extra color sheet, with 48 color pictures. The sheet is separate from the main pattern so you can look there for more detailed images.

Using the same pattern but different thread gives you a completely different looking thread bear, as you can see in the above pictures. Mint (left picture) is crocheted from a soft alpaca blend, and Coco is crocheted from 1 strand "Magic" thread. The finished bears shown in the picture are NOT included in this auction. This ThReAdTeDs® follow-up pattern described here is new and different from all previously published ThReAdTeDs® patterns. Each ThReAdTeDs® pattern, whether published in my book, follow-up and/or free patterns in several bear magazines are all different from each other. You wil never have a double.

For beginners I strongly recommend starting with ThReAdTeDs® Basic Patterns. These teach the basics in making thread bears and will make it easier to work the follow-up patterns. My book "ThReAdTeDs: Secrets and Patterns" published in 2004 is written for beginner to become a more experienced crocheter.
